There are associated risks of decisions being made without all the traditional formal observation of patients. Specially in Paediatrics, semiology and direct observation play a major role in filling all the required information for an educated diagnosis and decision on management.
In this course we will address Ethical and Legal rules that should be applied to Tele-Health practice in our everyday clinical work.
Other issues, like privacy, consent, medical responsibility and the point of view of patients, will also be discussed with experts in the field.
Although Tele-Health was already being performed for some time, the substantial rise in this type of contact led to the development of tools that made it more reliable and regular.
This is even more relevant for junior doctors that are still building their clinical competences and may get deprived of one of the main sources of learning which is personal interaction with their young patients.
